Marauder Dwarf MM10/1
Here is another old Marauder Dwarf from the MM10 series. I think he came out pretty good. This was a side project as I paint up my Dark Elves for the OWAC. So I did not go crazy on the quality level, more of a tabletop quality.

Reaper Miniatures Skeletal Dragon
Here's a Skeletal Dragon I painted last year. Never got around to taking pics of it. It's a Reaper Mini. On a Reaper base. I added stones which are Sea Glass from Michaels. Also the Human skeleton is a Wargames Factory Skeleton. That line was purchased by Warlord Games and is now back in production.

Civil War Battle Maps
Years ago I came across this map of all Civil War Battles. I saved it and recently came across it again. Thought I would share it with ya'll.
Created originally as a supplement to the April 2005 NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC magazine. I've seen some on Ebay, if you were interested.

January's Painting Submission for OWAC2
Here is my January lot for the Old World Army Challenge.
As this was the first unit painted, I really struggled to come up with a paint scheme. I must have painted 8 or 9 different trial paint schemes. Not on all, but on 1 or 2 figures at a time. Some of the Xbowmen have 3 or 4 coats in different places.
It was frustrating but with some encouragement from the group, I pushed through and landed on a scheme that I think looks good. I'm still not 100% happy with it, but good enough.
First up is a unit of Repeating Crossbows, a Repeating Bolt Thrower, and an Assassin. I was also painting a single Dark Rider, but had to drop him to complete the challenge in time. I might have to drop the Dark Riders unit from my painting challenge army.
Here's the pics.
February's submission is on the painting table, Witch Elves and The Cauldron of Blood.

Old World Army Challenge 2
The Old World Army Challenge is back for a 2nd year. The premise remains the same, paint a 1000 point army in 6 months, 200 points a month. You can take one month off.
There are 39 challengers this year.
The first time I did Chaos. My point total in 4th Edition rules is 1375pts. I really need to get a better picture of them.
For OWAC2, I'm doing Dark Elves. Last summer I picked up an unpainted DE army pretty cheap. There is at least 2000 points of unpainted DE. but I'll paint about 1200-1300 points for this challenge.
Here we go. 2 War machines, 4 infantry units, 2 mounted, and 3 characters.
Weighted Bases, I do that for all my figures.
Glued on metal base stands. Storage and movement tray will have magnetic sheets.
Magnets on the bottom of base for Cauldron of Blood
The Witch Elves handlers for the the Cauldron will stay on the base.
Cauldron of Blood
Repeating Bolt Thrower
Cauldron of Blood
The Black Guard
Cauldron Again
Coarsairs
Repeating Crossbows
Dark Riders and Cold One Knights
Sorceress
Witch Elves
I'm late with this post. The first month January is already done and can be seen on the OWAC website.
I'll post up my January submission in a day or so.

Battletech New Box Set
A new box set of Battletech just launched from Catalyst Games.
I haven't played Battletech in 25 years, but I always loved the setting of the 4th Succession War. That was some of the first tabletop gaming I did apart from D&D, back in the late 80s. There is also a starter box. I've thinking about getting back into Battletech for at least a year now.
I picked up the full box set, and then went rummaging around my basement for another box set I had from years ago. I found the box from 1992, completely intact. I thought it would be fun to do a unboxing past and present.
Mechwarrior 2 was a hella-good game back in the day.
I love the new artwork.
The new maps are very nice. Double sided. And a good selection of terrain types.
The updated sheets are very well done. They do have Mech specific sheets included which I really like. I hope they produce sheets for all the mechs.
The detail on the old plastics is really soft.
Nice new Sculpts with crisp detail.
Easy to see the difference
I wonder if they are still taking applications?
