3rd Breakfast, Halfling Kickstarter

Westfalia Miniatures is running another Halfling Kickstarter, called Third Breakfast. Unfortunately I missed out on 2nd Breakfast and the Hobbit Holes which they can't make anymore. I think I'm in for this one.

Here are some painted examples.

Ciao for now, Xin

Oldhammer Necromunda-esq Kickstarter

I came across this Kickstarter the other day. Looks pretty cool. I think I'm in for $50 or $60 bucks worth of figures.

Sandstorm Wars

Lots of warbands in there. I think I'm picking squat looking guys.

Check it out: Sandstorm Wars

Cheers, Xin

Icons of Pulp Fantasy Kickstarter

I just came across this small little Kickstarter. These guys look vaguely familiar but I can't put my finger on it.....Hmmmm.

I like to support small Kickstarters, as opposed to the huge ones that are really pre-order systems. This is what Kickstarters are about. Getting something made that would not normally see the light of day.

Also, who doesn't need a good Conan figure? The cool thing is these are already sculpted and molds are made. Not some CAD Renders which I've seen on some KS's.

I invite you to jump on board for some of this Pulpy goodness.

Reaper Bones 4 Kickstarter, 24 hours to go

Right now I am in for a dollar. Having kids in college puts a huge brake on wargame spending. Plus I have unpainted stuff from Bones 2. and Bones 3. I have to say there are some singular pieces here that I do want.

What I did like was the stretch goal they just added. Two inch dungeon tiles. As well as some Fantasy Scenics a few days ago, and an amazing Dueling dragons sculpt. I will not be able to resist and dive in.

Check out the new stuff:

Reaper Bones 3 Kickstarter

Reapers 3rd Bones Kickstarter is about 2 days away from finishing. Holy cow are there some nice pieces in there. Right now I'm in for $100, but I really see more like $200 from all the stuff I want, minimum. There is just too much cool stuff.  Take a look.

Reaper Miniatures Bones 3: The search for Mr. Bones!

Some of the better items, not to mention the tons of figures you get with the base set. I just realized, some of those have not been unlocked yet.

There is still time to jump in and get a ton of figures cheap!

Reaper Bones II Kickstarter

A few weeks ago I received my Bones from Reapers 2nd Kickstarter. I'm glad I backed this package as there are a lot of figures at a great price. I took some pics as I opened things up, so here you go.

Awesome thing to come home to, miniatures sitting on my front step

Everything taken out of the box.

Dragons Don't share box. Nice artwork.

Core Set

Expansion Set 2. I wish I got Set 1 as well.

Water Elemental pack.

Dragons don't Share tower. I got 2 extra tower sections for more ruins to go on the table.

Looking forward to painting him

Sorting thru all the figs

Crazy amount of figures

Toad Demon next to Gripping Beast Dark Age figures. I really like this guy. He gets painted soon.

Well not an in depth look but a quick glance. I have already started buying figures off ebay from the expansions I didn't get. And some figures I want multiples of. Painting figures coming soon.

Dwarven Forge Kickstarter 3, City System

DF has launched an ambitious Kickstarter to expand their game tile system. This one is a modular City building system. With this 3d terrain system, you can now fight above, on or below the streets of your fantasy cities. It was fully funded in the first 20 minutes, and hit a million dollars in the first week.

Here's the intro Video

But that is not all. They have add on Street, door, roof and Sewer packs, that will allow an almost infinite configurations on the table top.

This one is more complicated than their first two KS campaigns but it is not easy building cities. What they have shown us so far is amazing with more freebies and add-ons to unlock as we go along.

Here some images of the prototype setups they have

If you want the best playable and modular terrain that you can buy, this is it. Join this Kickstarter as once this goes retail, the deals won't be nearly as good.

Dwarven Forge Cavern Kickstarter has arrived

My kickstarter order arrived today. That's 2 for 2 Dwarven Forge is on delivering on time. All I can say is WOW. I wish I had spent more money on this when I bought in. Cause this stuff is awesome. I bought 3 sets and 4 add on packs. All unpainted. Buying them painted would be nice, but with unpainted my gaming dollar stretches farther. Here are a ton of pics I took as I opened the boxes.

3 Sets with 3 stretch goal boxes

4 Addon boxes

 Dungeon Passage

Narrow Dungeon Passage

The angled pieces are brilliant.

Eowyn and Lumpin fight off Frogs

Mixed in some of my painted Dungeon tiles

1 box set worth of tiles. Eowyn is joined by Glorfindle, Elrond and Erestor. The frogs don't stand a chance.

I wish I could have gotten more narrow sets

Here is where I really wish I went painted. These are the water tiles

Here is the recessed bottom on the new pieces. Deeper than the dungeon set.

Stretch Goal Pieces. This is where the set really starts to shine.

 Even unpainted it looks good.

My only regret is I could not afford more. If you can afford to buy these, it's worth it.

Xin out.
